The Minot Air Force Base Thrift Shop is a store of gently used and clean donated items. Proceeds from the Thrift Shop go to the Minot Spouses’ Club for Charities and Scholarships in and around Minot AFB, Minot, and other AF Organizations. The Minot Air Force Base Thrift Shop is owned and operated by the Minot Spouses’ Club, Minot AFB, North Dakota.
As a continuously operating store, the Thrift Shop is able to give monies to the MSC monthly, thus providing funds for charities throughout the fiscal year upon request and approved by the MSC Board. Those charity requests come from MAFB, other Air Force agencies/organizations/clubs, and the city of Minot and surrounding areas. Scholarships are awarded at the end of the fiscal year to high school students, college students, and dependent students of military personnel.
Minot AFB Thrift Shop is run by many volunteers who have a desire to give back to their community, whether it is to provide military personnel and their families with a place to shop inexpensively, knowing the good in which the money profits numerous organizations, or helping a select few in furthering their education.
